Find my verifier

Scope comes first

An accreditation covers only certain activity groups: cement, fertilisers, crude steel, aluminium and so on. We check your goods against each body's scope before we name it.

Someone has to visit the plant

A first verification includes a visit to the installation. We look for bodies that work in your supplier's country and language.

The calendar is fixed

Verification reports are issued in the CBAM Registry from January 2027 and the first declaration is due on September 30, 2027. Verifiers are few, so the queue starts now.

Request an introduction

The more precise the job, the better the match.

What do you need?
Goods (optional)

Free for you. We answer by email. No calls.

How it works

1. Describe the job

Two minutes: what you need, which goods, where they come from. No account and no call.

2. We match it

We check your request against the providers we track, by sector, country, language and, for verifiers, accreditation scope.

3. You get names by email

One to three providers that fit, with the reason for each. We pass your request to them, as you agreed in the form, so they can answer you directly.

Questions

How many CBAM verifiers are accredited?

Five verification bodies were documented as accredited by three national accreditation bodies on October 13, 2026, and the Commission had not yet published its own list. The accredited verifier tracker on this site shows each body and its scope.

Do I need a verifier at all?

Only if you declare actual emissions. A declaration on default values needs no verification, but default values carry a mark-up: 10% in 2026, 20% in 2027 and 30% from 2028 (1% for fertilisers).

What does it cost?

Nothing for you. If you hire a provider we introduced, that provider may pay cbamguide.com a referral fee. We tell you in the introduction email when that applies.

Does a fee decide who you recommend?

No. We name the providers that fit the job, including ones that pay us nothing. Our directories and reviews are editorial: nobody pays to be listed, ranked or described.

Who sees my request?

cbamguide.com, and the providers we name to you, up to three. Nobody else. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Do you give CBAM advice yourselves?

No. cbamguide.com publishes reference material and tools. Advice, verification, training and filing come from the provider you choose.
